Using i2c bitbanging with the 2.6 kernel should work just as described above. You might need to edit the broadcom-i2c/Makefile and remove the 2.4 dependency.

  • The most difficult part would be the camera driver itself. I scanned through the Linux source code at Kernel.org, but I didn't find any source code for the OVM7692 sensor. You might contact the manufacturer to see if they have a driver. If they do, we have a services group that could help integrate the driver into one of our BSP's under a contract.

To read the values set in subaddress 0x4b (R/G/B LED current) or subaddress 0x60 (keystone settings) of the TI DPP6401F DLP processor, the I2C block read is required. So I modified i2cget.c to include I2C block read for DPP6401F.

    Additionally, this driver source code was not made to include INA233, but INA233 I2C is very similar to our other devices (INA226, INA219, etc) so there may be some minor modification needed for the source code like making sure register locations are correct and adding INA233 to the "MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE". I'm new to embedded devices and am trying to understand how to use i2cget (or the entire I2C protocol really). I'm using an accelerometer MMA8452, and the datasheet says the Slave Address is 0x1D (if my SAO=1, which I believe is referring to the I2C bus being on channel 1 on my raspberrypi v2). From the command line, I enter . sudo i2cget -y 1 0X1d

For an executable work, complete source code means all the source code for all modules it contains, plus any associated interface definition files, plus the scripts used to control compilation and installation of the executable.
